From Friday 16 October to Sunday 18 October another Schnitger Festival will take place in Groningen. All weekend long you can enjoy concerts on the three Schnitger organs the city of Groningen proudly boasts, including the famous Schnitger organ in the Aa Church.
On Saturday 17 October at 4 p.m. the Aa Church features a matinee concert by The Northern Consort and organist Vincent van Laar. Festive works by J. Haydn and W.A. Mozart are sure to make this a scintillating afternoon for all music lovers. This concert will prove that the organ can also be part of an orchestra.
