Music and stories surrounding the theme of 'birth'
On Sunday 27 December Ton Sur Ton present a concert in the church in Klein Wetsinge. The concert centres around the theme of ‘birth’.
Ton Sur Ton is comprised of Josine Zeijen, Ties Jan Eekhof and Cees Booij. Their stories and poems highlight the many aspects surrounding birth: happy and sad, funny and serious. The texts will be interspersed with cello music. The music forms a backdrop that intensifies the poignancy of the poems and stories. The music is by Bach, Britten, Gubaidulina, Reger and Prokofiev. Josine Zeijen plays the cello and Ties Jan Eekhof reads the stories and poems.
Josine Zeijen studied at the conservatories of Maastricht and Rotterdam. She has performed with the Frysk Orkest and the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and has taught at various music schools. Her cello was made by Serge Stam in Utrecht.
