A dual exhibition featuring works by artists Cindy Sprokel and Antoinette Vunderink on display at the church in Klein Wetsinge from 18 September through 14 October .
Dance and motion are the connecting themes in Antoinette Vunderink’s work. She graduated from the Classical Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen in 2016. Subjects were Landscape and Flamenco.
Cindy Sprokel (1961) was born and raised in Maastricht and is also a recent graduate of the Classical Academy. Much of her work has a relationship with dance in all its manifestations.
The exhibition can be viewed daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The church in Klein Wetsinge
The church in Klein Wetsinge is located halfway between the towns of Sauwerd and Winsum and has a panoramic view of the scenic Reitdiep area. The church was restored and completely refurbished by the Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken. Visitors are cordially welcomed by managers Nicolaas and Inez Geenen. Whenever possible they work with traditional methods and organic products. On offer are an extensive lunch and drinks menu. Visitors may climb upstairs where they can see the unique clockwork and enjoy the views of the beautiful Reitdiep valley.
