Performances by marching showbands
Saturday 7th November three marching bands will perform in the Aa Church as part of the 25th Tattoo Groningen.
This jubilee edition features three of the top marching showbands from Holland and abroad. These bands will also be performing in the evening show of the 25th Tattoo Groningen which will be held at the Martini Plaza.
Programme in the Aa Church
1.30 p.m. – 2.30 p.m.: Vejen Garden from Denmark
2.45 p.m. – 3.45 p.m.: Musikcorps der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Großen Linden from Germany
4.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.: Harmonie Patrimonium from Groningen
Marching boy band Vejen Garden
The marching boy band Vejen Garden from Denmark was founded in 1954. Since then more than six hundred boys have been members of this popular brass band. They have performed at many major national events and tattoos and at the wedding of the Danish crown prince.
Musikcorps der freiwilligen Feuerwehr Grossen-Linden
This German band was founded in the Fifties as part of the local fire brigade. Since then they have participated in the World Music Contest several times and have won a world championship.
Harmonie Patrimonium
This energetic and modern brass band from Groningen was founded in 1921. Leader of the band is Jan Wijenberg, who has conducted its fifty members since 2014.
In the evening Vejen Garden and Musikcorps der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Großen Linden, will also be performing in the 25th edition of the Tattoo Groningen.
Admission to the concerts in the Aa Church is free.
