Chamber Choir Erato sings about the mystery of Christmas

Festive Christmas Concert

Chamber Choir Erato, conducted by Roel Griffioen, presents a festive and diverse Christmas concert in the Der Aa Church on Saturday 19 December.

The programme includes In principio erat Verbum I, II and III by Orlandus Lassus, motets by Praetorius, Hassler, Cristobal de Morales and Henry Purcell and works by Margaret Rizza, Marten Lauridsen, Karl Jenkins, Herbert Howells and John Tavener. The programme also features an instrumental intermezzo by brass quartet Harmonie ’67 from Groningen.

The Erato Chamber Choir was founded in 1989. The choir’s name derives from Greek mythology: Erato was the muse of love poetry.
