Italian film food scenes
Enjoy a delectable Italian lunch at the church in Klein Wetsinge on Sunday, March 18th. While you enjoy your lunch Maaike Dicke, a lecturer in Italian language and culture at the University of Groningen, will give a talk (in Dutch) and show ten memorable excerpts from Italian films. The lunch consists of four courses and includes a starter, an excellent wine and delicious coffee.
Since the success of films like Il Postino, La Vita é Bella and especially since La Meglio Gioventὺ (when some cinemas even served antipasti and spaghetti) Italian films have become increasingly popular. Not only intellectual audiences, who saw Novecento and Una Giornata Particolare way back in the seventies, but even less seasoned viewers now appreciate them.
Maaike Dicke (Dordrecht, 1961) teaches Italian studies at the university in Groningen and at the Groninger Forum. She lives in Winsum where she has a translating agency (Studio Giacomina) and gives private Italian lessons.
Sunday, 18th March at 12.30. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
Lecture and lunch: € 42,50
