Meindert Talma in Leegkerk
On Sunday September 21st on the Cultural Sunday in the medieval church in Leegkerk our guest is Meindert Talma.
Bijzondere Locaties Groningen and De Culturele Onderneming organise cultural Sunday afternoons all year round in the church in Leegkerk. These afternoons will showcase a variety of subjects. In September our guest is Meindert Talma. He will read from his new book Kelderkoorts and sing some of his songs.
Meindert Talma is a songwriter, singer and keyboardist. Talma has performed solo as well as with his band ‘The Negroes’ in many major concert venues in the Netherlands and Belgium, and at festivals like Lowlands, Border, Noorderslag, Parade en Oerol. ‘Tamango’ was his first English language project. He is also known as Holland’s Most Unknown Pop Star’. In his book Kelderkoorts he talks and sings about his life as a young musician just starting out. Meindert takes you on a journey through his world, with his unique voice, his suitcase organ and projected images.
