Schnitger’s Dream: James McVinnie and the JACK Quartet
The internationally acclaimed JACK Quartet, the young organist James McVinnie and percussionist Tatiana Koleva present an exciting program of fascinating music.
Some people consider Missy Mazzoli and Nico Muhly to be the future of classical music. They have studied the music of the Baroque era, minimal music, Arvo Pärt and John Taverner and in their own work they ingeniously manage to connect these styles with contemporary popular music from New York. Also performing are the up-and-coming JACK quartet, the young organist James McVinnie and percussionist Tatiana Koleva. Their captivating sounds will transport you on an exciting musical journey.
James McVinnie is an English organist. From 2008 to 2011 he was organist of Westminster Abbey in London.
