Interactive exhibition about David Bowie
From Saturday 20 February through Saturday 27 February the Aa Church will present an interactive exhibition about David Bowie. An absolute must-see for every self-respecting Bowie fan and for those who saw the fabulous V&A collection at the Groningen Museum and are hungry for more.
Interactive themed exhibition
The exhibition was created by Rotterdam visual artist Bo Woody Winter. About the Total Bowie Art Experience he says: “This is an interactive themed exhibition, as well as a show, that was inspired by David Bowie. It is a total art and music experience that employs a variety of artistic disciplines to intensify the Bowie-factor, including paintings, special musical arrangements, show acts, live music and neon art.”
Bo Woody Winter’s collection of paintings inspired by David Bowie will be on display all week. Winter's lifelong fascination for Bowie has culminated in a series of vibrant and colourful canvases. Also on display are a selection of unique neon art works he created in collaboration with CentreLightsNeon.
The premiere of the B?Blackstage event will feature a dramatic avant-garde show, choreographed to music arranged by Close Up Art, that takes you on a journey through time to David Bowie’s career and personas. During the show the Bowie Inspired Art Couture selection made by WinterCraft Creative Originals will be introduced, featuring all the iconic and most popular looks, from Ziggy Stardust to Black Star. The costumes will be on show all week during opening hours and in the weekend you can see them ‘in action’.
