From Friday 23 March through Sunday 25 March another edition of the annual Whisky Festival Noord Nederland will be held at the Aa Church. For three days the church will host thousands of whiskey drinking visitors – and some of them may even be clad in kilts!
The Whisky Festival has become a popular event with legions of faithful fans from at home and abroad. Whisky importers from all over the world will be participating, internationally renowned speakers will give master classes and important authors will be on hand to sign their books on whisky. Each visitor will receive an engraved tasting glass and most of the whiskey may be sampled free of charge.
The whisky festival welcomes newbie whiskey drinkers and offers some informative and very accessible whisky tasting sessions for novices, led by an experienced trainer. The more advanced whiskey drinkers can choose from a range of exclusive tastings that can be booked separately. The speakers have selected a few truly phenomenal whiskies for them to try. Some internationally renowned authors, such as Hans Offringa, Gordon Muir and Martine Nouet, will also be in attendance this weekend.
For the true whisky aficionados we have the famous VIP-package: spoiled whiskey lovers can enjoy exclusive tasting sessions with a small group in the luxury of the special VIP lounge
