Wine Festival Groningen
From Friday 29 September through Sunday 1 October the Aa Church will again form the backdrop to a new edition of the Wine Festival Groningen. The first edition took place last year and was a spectacular success.
Representatives of various wine shops, wineries and wine importers will be happy to share their expert knowledge with you and pour you a sample glass of their wine. The festival is the ideal opportunity to try a variety of wines.
A full-bodied red Malbec from Argentina, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand or a spicy Syrah from the Rhône Valley? You don’t have to choose: at the Festival you can taste them all. There will be platters with cheese and cold-cuts, fresh fish and crusty bread on offer in case you’re feeling a bit peckish. And for those of you with a sweet tooth: chocolate and wine can be a delectable combination. For the duration of the festival the church will be furnished with tables and benches so that you can relax and sip and savour the wine and light bites in comfort. And when you’ve discovered your favourite wine you can order it directly from the exhibitor.
