General information

The Der Aa Church with its striking yellow tower and medieval arches is one of the most iconic buildings in Groningen. Upon entering the church, visitors immediately feel that this is a place steeped in history. That is why the church is still often used for weddings, dinners, concerts and receptions. More options than one would expect from a medieval church, thanks to the natural light and the exceptional lay-out of the building. Book fairs, exhibitions, information markets and whisky tastings held here always create a buzz.

Location and accessibility

The Aa Church is situated in the centre of the vibrant city of Groningen but is still easy to reach. The NS train station, parking garages and bus stops are all within walking distance.

Rooms/Spaces

Der Aa Church comprises three spaces: the chancel, the nave and the sacristy.
